DIESEL
TRUCK DRIVER TRAINING
This program provides an
in-depth background of the
trucking industry and a thorough
introduction to long haul
driving, including the mastery
of skills to successfully deal
with life on the road, family
relationships and financial
responsibilities while away from
home. The program is structured
with sufficient driving time to
enable trainees to develop the
basic driving skills that are
necessary to qualify as an
entry-level over-the-road or
in-town driver.
Successful completion of this
program qualifies graduates to
work in a co-driver or driver
trainee position. Additional
training in job requirements and
proficiency development through
a formal OJT program would be
needed to qualify for a solo
position.
