Swift Transportation is the largest irregular route carrier in the U.S. We have grown from 2 trucks in 1965 to over 16,000 today. To enable us to grow as rapidly as we have we have hired a very large number of entry level drivers Some of the keys to success in our business are safety and retention or low driver turnover. Where a person receives their training can have a very big influence on both of these issues because of what values are addressed while in school.
Swift has hired many drivers trained at A.I.T. and found that they met and exceeded our needs in all respects. A.I.T. offers many different programs to allow a driver to be trained to meet their schedules as far as nights, weekends, full or part time.
